From April 1-11, my mother came to visit Meg, GeGe and I in Peru. She flew down with GeGe, who had been in Oregon visiting family and friends while Kids at the Crossroads was closed for Semana Santa. Her first five days in Peru were spent hanging out with us in Ayacucho and seeing how day-to-day life looks in Huamanga and at KATC. On her last day in Ayacucho, we took her out to the campo on a school supplies delivery trip to the villages of Rosas Pampas, Santa Fe and Tunsuya. For the second half of her trip, Meg and I took her on a tour of Cusco and the Sacred Valley, including a day at Machu Picchu, the famed lost city of the Incas. When her trip was done, I actually accompanied her on the first leg of her flight home as I had a test to take in Seattle. Below is a photo gallery from her trip and links to the extended posts about her adventures in Peru.
