Yesterday was a tough day. Meg and I said good bye to all of our friends at Kids at the Crossroads in Ayacucho and boarded our last (for now) night bus to Lima (This is posting as we pull into the station). It was a sad day, but as I told the kids, we couldn’t be this sad now if they hadn’t done so much to make us happy over the past nine months. Hugs were given, “see you laters” (NOT good-byes) were shared, and a few (at least) tears were shed. I hope (HOPE) to post a more extensive write-up of our last day by, as it was eventful one, tomorrow (if not, it’ll come in the next week). But for now, see below (and above) to see the 118-plus reasons we will miss Ayacucho.
