Ryan and Mikey share a moment atop a cathedral at the Santa Catalina Monastery in Arequipa, Peru. The Mountains in the background are, I think, Pikchu Pikchu and Chachani.

OK, so technically Mikey arrived like 12 days ago and is now back in Portland, Oregon, USA. But, we were having so much fun traveling and seeing the sights and hospital rooms (more on that later this week!) in Peru, that we haven’t blogged much. Fortunately, Mikey brought Tom Anderson’s awesome camera with him and we are back in the photographic fold. I’ll post a photo of the day today and tomorrow, and, hopefully, Monday I can start writing (this weekend is, you know, reserved for watching insane amounts of basketball … Go Florida Gulf Coast!). The above photo was taken on the first day in Arequipa from the roof of the Santa Catalina Monastery. The Monastery was pretty cool and we’ll post a photo slide show of from the inside later in the week.

Thanks for your patience during our long radio silence, and I promise that we’ll be back on the horse in the days to come.

Welcome back! I look forward to hearing about Arequipa and the Canyon. We loved that Monastery… How are you getting basketball in Peru? We had a rough time trying to watch the Zags last night, in so many ways…
