On the sixth day of Christmas, South America gave to me…

…letters to Santa Claus, aka Papa Noel. We saw this butcher paper set up in Plaza More, here in Ayacucho and found a few of the requests amusing. Megan Fox and the Biebs are popular in Ayacucho as well. In fact, when I was in the campo with CARE the other day (more on that later today), my group was serenaded with “Baby” by a couple of Peruvian pre-teens.

Of course, people also asked for peace, love and other heart-warming gifts.

When I was a kid, I asked for a horse and a trampoline every year (never got ’em) and Ryan says his parents just loved him enough to give him everything he wanted.

Here are the other things South America brought to us for Christmas:

Day 2
Day 3
Day 4
Day 5
Day 7
Day 8
Day 9
Day 10
Day 11
Day 12

I’m so glad Ryan remembers his parents that way! 😉
